There are many folk who think we are just playing at being elves. The truth is however that we are elves who are playing and being as just (fair) as we can be. They think that we are pretending to be elves. But really we are elves who, like most children, love to pretend. They suspect we might be pulling their leg… but we’re really (with pixie mischievousness) jerking their chain and they don’t even realize they have one. But once they enter our home, our very eald they realize ‘they’re not in Kansas anymore.’ And they begin to suspect, even if they can’t admit it, that we just might be who we say we are.
